what is a Habitat ReStore?

Habitat for Humanity ReStores accepts donations of new and gently used home improvement items from individuals and businesses. We sell those items to the public, the proceeds are then used to build affordable homes in the Orlando area and Osceola County.

are the ReStores open to the public? 

Yes! The Orlando & Osceola ReStores are open to the public and everyone is welcome to shop. 

what will I find at the Orlando & Osceola ReStores? 

Our ReStores carry everything from furniture to building materials! Though our inventory depends on what donations we receive, you can generally expect to find new and used items. can I donate a car? how about my boat and RV and construction equipment? 

Yes! We accept all types of vehicles. Habitat for Humanity International makes the process simple and straightforward. To get started today, call 1-800-277-4344 or go to carsforhomes.org. 

is my donation to the Orlando & Osceola ReStores tax-deductible? 

Habitat for Humanity Greater Orlando & Osceola County is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. We will gladly provide you with a receipt for your donated items. Due to IRS regulations, we are not allowed to assign value to donated items, but your receipt will list the items you donated. We encourage you to work with your tax professional to determine the value and use of your tax receipt. More information can be found on the IRS website. 

why don’t you accept certain items as donations? 

We greatly appreciate everyone who wants to donate to the Orlando & Osceola ReStores, but we are unable to accept certain items. Sometimes the reason is related to safety concerns and other times it is for legal reasons. We also have found that we can’t sell certain items such as couches that have rips or stains, and older appliances. how can my company get involved? 

For businesses, donating to the Orlando & Osceola ReStores are a great way to move discontinued or excess stock, while showing your customers that you care about the environment and your community. With our free donation pickup, it will save you time and money. We also offer group volunteer opportunities at our ReStores and we would love for your employees to get together during the year for team-building and to make a difference in the community. what is your return policy? 

ALL SALES ARE FINAL. No refunds are given except for any electronics that are defective. You must return the defective electronic within 14 days from the date of purchase and  must have a valid receipt. If you are entitled to a refund, we will refund the purchase price using the method of payment.
